All residents are warmly welcomed to the Hassocks Parish Council Annual Parish Meeting on 21 May 6.30pm in Adastra Hall.
The event will be an opportunity learn about the Parish Council and other community groups’ work over the last year, and to meet some of the community groups and sports clubs who use the Council’s facilities, including:
Keymer & Hassocks Cricket Club, Hassocks Junior Football Club, The Monday Group, Woodland Flora & Fauna, Keymer & Hassocks Sports and Social Club, Adastra Tennis Club, Hassocks Life, Adastra Bowls Club, Hassocks Twinning Association and more.
Following brief presentations from community groups, chairperson Cllr Frances Gaudencio will deliver her annual report, and there will be an open forum for residents to ask questions and raise any issues with councillors. Questions can also be submitted in advance via the Parish Clerk (info@hassocks-pc.gov.uk).
Light refreshments will be provided by local business Parklife Coffee.
Cllr Frances Gaudencio said: “The Annual Parish Meeting is a great chance to hear what’s been happening across the village, meet the groups that make Hassocks such a vibrant community, and share your ideas or concerns with councillors. Whether you’ve lived here for years or you’re new to the area, please do come along — we’d love to see you.”
The agenda for the meeting will be available on the Council’s website and includes confirming the minutes of the 2025 Annual Meeting.
All civil parishes in England are required to hold an annual parish meeting between 1 March and 1 June. Though a formal legal requirement, Hassocks Parish Council sees the meeting as a celebration of the civic life of our village, and genuine opportunity for residents to get involved.
