Works to upgrade Stonepound Crossroads traffic signals

(Hassocks: Hurst Road) (Temporary Closure) Order 2019

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, West Sussex County Council intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Hurst Road in Hassocks, from its junction with London Road, westwards for a distance of 40 metres.

The road closure is needed to maintain safety while traffic signals at the Stonepound Crossroads are upgraded.

The Order will come into effect on 24 July 2019 and remain in force until 2 September 2019. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

BROOK AVENUE, HASSOCKS – Temporary Closure Notice
The use of Brook Avenue, Hassocks from junction with Windmill Avenue to Parklands Road is temporarily prohibited from 29/07/19 at 0800 until 02/08/19 at 1700.

The restriction will be in place day time only.

Emergency vehicle, Residential and Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
