Hassocks Parish Council leads a Flood Action Group which is aimed at looking at ways to reduce the risk of flooding in Hassocks. As part of this, the Parish Council has recently printed a booklet about Riparian Ownership to inform residents whose properties border a watercourse about their riparian responsibilities.
There are at least 450 properties in Hassocks whose owners or tenants may be Riparian Owners with responsibilities, each of these properties should have recieved a copy of the booklet.
