The review concerns the removal of the exemption under the Live Music Act to make the performance of music in the garden area of the pub back to being classed as regulated entertainment. Live and recorded music performed inside the premises is unaffected.

Attendees: Parish Councillors: Cllr Maria Angelaki-King, Cllr Lesley Cruickshank-Robb,
Cllr Bill Hatton and Cllr Peter Reime.
Cllr Cruickshank-Robb attended the meeting from 7.45pm. For the first 15 minutes Cllr McBeth was Chair. When Cllr Cruikshank-Robb arrived, she took over as Chair in the absence of Cllr Berggreen.

P25/75 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE. Apologies were received from Cllr Kristian Berggreen and Cllr Bob Brewer.
P25/76 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST. Cllr Angelaki-King declared a personal interest in item 5.12 – DM/25/2756 12 North Court.
P25/77 MINUTES. It was RESOLVED that the minutes of the Planning Committee meeting held on
20th October 2025 be signed by the Chair as a true and accurate record of the meeting.

RECOMMENDATION: The Parish Council submit these comments relating to Licencing Objective: The prevention of a public nuisance. They would like to support The Greyhound pub as a local business and for the reasons of social cohesion. If conditions were to be imposed, they would like to see not less than 3 annual outside events be permitted.

RECOMMENDATION: The committee have some concerns around a large ancient tree that supports a wide range of wildlife and biodiversity being felled. They appreciate the findings of the report but feel decay is not necessarily a reason for complete felling. They would like a wildlife assessment to be carried out before a decision is made.
