Attendees: Parish Councillors: Cllr Clare Black, Cllr Bob Brewer, Cllr Peter Reime, Cllr Don McBeth, Cllr Maria Angelaki-King, Cllr Lesley Cruikshank-Robb (Chair).

P26/40 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE. Cllr Kristian Berggreen, Cllr Bill Hatton.
P26/41 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST. There were no declarations of interest.
P26/42 MINUTES. It was RESOLVED that the minutes of the Planning Committee meeting held on 20th July be signed by the Chair as a true and accurate record of the meeting.
P26/43 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION. No members of the public present.
P26/44 APPLICATIONS:

RECOMMENDATION: The committee recommend that permission is granted.

RECOMMENDATION: The committee considered the amended plans. They didn’t feel there were any significant changes to the design, we reiterate our previous comments and recommend the application is refused.
The development is considered incongruous with the street scene and is contrary to District Plan Policy DP26 and Neighbourhood Plan Policy 9 Character and Design as it does not respect the character and scale of the surrounding buildings and landscape. The committee also refer to condition 4 of approved application DM/24/2689:
“The car parking area within the garage shown on the approved drawings shall not be used for any purpose (including use as living accommodation) other than for the garaging or storage of private motor vehicles and no trade or business shall be carried out therefrom”

P26/47 URGENT MATTERS. Cllr McBeth asked for clarification on whether we had finalised our response to the MSDC consultation. The Deputy Clerk advised she is meeting with the Clerk this week to put together a draft document for approval.
