Adastra Park Drainage Works September – October 2025

The Parish Council has appointed a contractor to make improvements to drainage system in Adastra Park.  This will involve repairing the headwall by the stream, digging a series of trenches and installing underground pipework.  These improvements will cause some temporary disruption and we apologise for any inconvenience.

Work will start in North Field between 1-19 September and continue work in the South Field between 22 September – 11 October.  The grass will then need a further 2-3 weeks to re-establish so we will not be taking any sports pitch bookings in the South Field until November.

Please note, the Orchard Lane Car Park will be reduced to approx. 10 parking spaces whilst the works are ongoing.  Also, the path between the Adastra Bowling Club and the children’s play area will be fenced off between 15-19 September and a temporary diversion, along Orchard Lane, will be in place.

These works are designed to help reduce flooding in the park and ensure fewer football games have to be cancelled during the winter months.  The project is funded through Parish Council Reserves and a Section 106 developer contribution from Mid Sussex District Council.
